Admission Requirements

Spanish Language Level Accreditation

Candidates who pre-register for the programme and are from non-Spanish speaking countries must accredit a Spanish language level equivalent to B2 (as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in order to be admitted to the master’s programme. Where candidates fail to submit the relevant accrediting documents, the master’s management team will interview them in order to verify their speaking and listening comprehension level as a pre-requisite for admission.

Admission Criteria

Candidate selection will be undertaken in accordance with the following criteria:

  • A relevant admission qualification: up to 40 points, as per the following order:
    • Graduates in Education Sciences (Social Education, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education or Pedagogy) or in other fields and holding a master’s degree related to Education Sciences (Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, Pyschopedagogy or similar) (entry profiles 1 and 2 in the Recommended Entry Profile section): up to 20 points
    • Graduates in sciences, engineering, health sciences, social sciences and the humanities, without any postgraduate training in education sciences (entry profile 3): up to 10 points

Moreover, having an accredited B2 level of English will be deemed a merit.

Nonetheless, where spots are available and provided candidates fulfil the entry requirements, the Academic Committee may admit students without having to prioritise merits.

Supplementary Training

Candidates with profile 3 (i.e. without undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in education sciences) shall be required to take nine credits of supplementary training. The minimum number of credits to be taken shall be set in accordance with accredited previous training and professional experience.

Supplementary training comprises three specific subjects worth three credits each:
