In order to be awarded the degree, students must pass 60 ECTS as per the following:

25 ECTS from mandatory subjects

20 ECTS from elective subjects

• 12 ECTS from the speciality on which students are admitted:
  Nutrigenomics and Personalised Nutrition (2A): 11256, 10289, 10280
  Development and Innovation in Nutrigenomics and Functional Nutrition (2B): 11257, 10284, 10290, 10285
• 8 ECTS to be selected from the remaining Master's electives, both from the speciality not chosen and from common electives.

9 ECTS from the Practicum:
Students on the 2A speciality undertake the practicum at a research laboratory (mainly at the UIB).
Students on the 2B speciality undertake the practicum (minimum four weeks) at a collaborating company in Majorca or in another Spanish region, according to the assigned company. The possible travel arrangements must be taken into account.

6 ECTS from the Master's Thesis

Comments:

Elective subject 11258 Metabolic Integration and Personalised Nutrition is particularly recommended to graduates in Human Nutrition, Medicine, Veterinary Science and similar areas.

Elective subject 11262 Training for Work in Experimentation on Animals has limited places (between four and six per year).

Some subjects are jointly coordinated under an agreement with the Master's Degree in Nutrition and Metabolism of the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) and the University of Barcelona (UB) (See full document of the agreement protocol).
