Phase-out Process

The discontinuation process for the Master's Degree in Food and Human Nutrition will begin in the 2025-26 academic year. The Curriculum Verification and Accreditation Committee at the Universities Council issued its decision on accreditation renewal for this degree programme on 24th July 2025.

Since the resolution was issued in the 2024-25 academic year, this master's programme will begin the discontinuation process in the 2025-26 academic year as follows:

Discontinuation Calendar

Students who enrol on subjects without teaching will have the right to attend tutorials with the assigned lecturers and be assessed.

2026-27

All subjects on the master's programme will run without teaching. This will enable all returning students to still enrol for them.

Students who enrol on subjects without teaching will have the right to attend tutorials with the assigned lecturers and be assessed.

2027-28

The programme will be fully discontinued. Exceptionally, students will be allowed one further enrolment on subjects where they were enrolled in the previous two years, subject to approval from the relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for teaching.

Student Admission

No new students will be admitted to the programme from the 2025-26 academic year onwards. Therefore, any submitted applications will be rejected.

Enrolment for Returning Students

Students on the Master's Degree in Food and Human Nutrition will have a limit of two enrolments per subject to pass the necessary subjects in order to be awarded the degree.

In exceptional cases, students who have reached the enrolment limit for a subject may request one last enrolment (without taking classes) in the following year. This enrolment must be authorised by the relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for teaching, who will make a decision after consulting with the programme coordinator.

The enrolment deadlines for each academic year will be published on the Centre for Postgraduate Studies website.
